Clean up your act with Soapmaking

Learn the basics of the science and art of soapmaking. Using all vegetable oils, Danielle will teach you how to safely create a simple bar of soap so that you can take the skills and get creative on your own. Bring your own essential oils to customize your bars. Herbs will be provided. Register here

Weave A Basket

Tues. Dec 6 – 5pm-8pm

Learn to weave a basket from nothing more than what is around you. Kaan will teach you how to obtain materials, weave and decorate two kinds of baskets – a willow egg basket and a pine needle basket as well as sharing the history of basketry. By the end of class, you’ll have the working knowledge needed to make many types of baskets from the same processes. Register here

Felt It to Believe It

Tues. Dec 13 – 5pm-8pm

Take part in one of the oldest clothing making processes in the world. Kaan will show you techniques for felting with not just wool but pet hair as well. Learn the history of felting and create your own potholders in the process. By the end of class you’ll have a working knowledge to take your felting skills to the next level – bags, shoes, hats, gloves, etc! Register here

Be A Candlestick Maker

Tues. Dec. 20th – 5pm-8pm

Bring a little light into someone’s world with hand-made dipped beeswax candles. Elona will teach you the art and craft of candlemaking as well as the history. Leave with a working knowledge of hand-dipped candlemaking. Register here
